Girls Guide to Nice, French Riviera
The girls are headed to the French Riviera! The French Riviera is an ideal spot for a girls trip and if you are looking to travel with your girlfriends, Paris and the French Riviera is my top recommendation for you! These places are so close to one another but give you the opportunity to experience totally different vibes. Hear me out on this, the picture perfect bachelorette, heading to Paris for 4 days and the French Riviera for 3 days. A dream come true!
This blog post is primarily on Nice, French Riviera! Nice in December is a lot different than what you’d normally get in a summer in French Riviera but it still was an amazing time. I briefly went to Nice, Monaco and St. Tropez in September too so I got the taste of summer here as well. Nice in the summer is to be blunt much better than it is in the winter.. in the summer you’ll be spending a lot of your time at beach clubs and enjoying the amazing weather in the chicest way possible. If you’re summering in Nice you have to go to St. Tropez as well. I will end the blog posting off with some additional recommendations in St. Tropez!
Here’s my guide to what to do on your girls trip to the French Riviera.
Nice, French Riviera:
Where to stay: Best Western France has multiple properties throughout Nice and I highly recommend them as your choice of stay in the French Riviera. The two properties I stayed at were Hotel Brice Garden and Hotel Lakmi. Both amazing places to stay with completely different vibes! Hotel Brice Garden has balconies in a secluded garden surrounded by palm trees while Hotel Lakmi is in the heart of the city side of Nice where the vibes are high and the shopping is inevitable! Both hotels are in ideal locations, walks to the beach, and trains.

What to do in Nice:
The Castle of Nice. The best view overlooking Nice! There is an elevator you can take up or you can climb the stairs which aren’t too bad! Entry is free
Fontaine Du Soleil Gorgeous fountain the the center of Nice.
Vieux Nice (the Old Town) Especially the Flower markets
The Opera Nice also in the Old Town a beautiful picturesque building. You can also catch a show here!
Place Masséna / Marché de Noel A famous landmark with cafes and events like the Christmas Markets this time of year!
The beach Join the locals and bring a bottle of wine and relax on the beach to watch sunset
Villefranche-Sur-Mer Head to this secret village in Nice. It’s a gorgeous hilly beach town. Very sleepy this time of the year so I would suggest going in the summer.
Galeries Lafayette The famous department store in Paris also has a store in Nice! It’s much smaller but still great for a shopping day. They also have Zara, Mango, Sephora and so much more shopping in Nice.
What Restaurants to go to:
Babel Babel Nice: a gorgeous balcony seating overlook the water. An amazing sunset spot
Le Grand Cafe de France: a corner cafè in France is always a great place to be
Peixes: For an elegante vibe and yummy sea food options.
La Lupita: Mexican restaurant that actually turns into a club lol. I went out here the night before the girls and I went to lunch here per their request and was so confused when I saw that I was already connected to the WiFi.. it all hit LOL. Great spot for both going out and eating!!
Casa Leya: Nice is on the Italian border so the Italian food can be really good. Some spots are subpar but Casa Leya was definitely a go to spot if you’re looking for pasta or pizza!
Wayne’s British pub vibes. Interestingly enough, the owners of this spot only speak English! They literally don’t know French.. I thought it was crazy, the owners are from Australia and are totally casual about not knowing to speak French in France. The spot had a really fun vibe and everyone was happy in here.
St. Tropez:
St. Tropez to me in The Hamptons in France. It’s the party spot of the summer just like the Hamptons is in NYC. The shopping in unbeatable and the parties are iconic. St. Tropez is the ultimate summer spot I went in September and we had a blast. I’m pretty sure everything closes in the winter so I would plan your trip from May- September. When coming to St. Tropez be ready to spend a lot of money for a table or get in on a groups. Make reservations and have cash for Taxis.
Restaurants: Dior Cafe, Cafe De Paris, Gina’s and my personal favorite Le Tigrr. Head to Le Tigrr for the best sunset views and Gina’s for a party dinner experience. Another option for a great party at dinner vibe is the famous Bagatelle, also in Tulum.
Rue Général Allard is St Tropez's historic shopping street of pretty pastel colored buildings where famous brand like Hermes, Fendi and Chanel live. The Dior Cafe is also here. Spend some time going into the shops even if it’s just to window shop! An few more of my favorites include, DeDe Concept Store, Brigitte B, Nikki Doggi and Atelier Ivan Hor.
Monaco:
Personally I’d say to skip Monaco. Unless you’re a big gambler, then its a must. The Casino is really cool and It’s gorgeous but everywhere in Monaco is very expensive. I’m glad I got to go but depending on how many days you have in the French Riviera it may not be worth it.
I hope you enjoyed my guide to what to do on your girls trip to the French Riviera. I hope you love my recommendations and as always please reach out for any travel questions!
